Majestic Gents ATL Review (Pix Included)
Submitted by steppinlady2 on Wed, 06/17/2009 - 14:25.
I'm a true Chicago stepper, but Atlanta has me ready to pack and move after my fun-filled weekend of shopping, site seeing, dancing and more shopping with the Majestic Gents for the "Summer Jam." I didn't want to pack to leave such a wonderful place. Not only does this town have bona fide Steppers, the city is beautiful with large mountainside highways and the beautiful Atlanta Hilton Airport hotel. After checking in on the first day, we dined at the Magnolia Grill that served a delectable luncheon buffet that consisted of smothered chick

During this time of unprecedented changes, The Majestic Gents have also made a few distinctive changes within their organization. First off, they have a new sweetheart, who would be none other than yours truly, the lovely Ms. Crystal. Other changes are new locations for their parties, a new date for the annual Memorial Day Weekend Convention, now called the Spring Jam, happening at the end of May in Atlanta and many more changes are promised by Mr.

Darrell Davis (Just Us) / Lady Margaret B-Day Review
Submitted by T. Pratt on Tue, 05/19/2009 - 21:48.
I got straight off the plane Sunday and started getting ready for Just Us' party at The Dorchester this past Sunday. Darrell Davis celebrated his birthday sporting a lime green suit and both Rochella and Andre greeted guests as they worked the room. Darrell was so proud and happy that his mother came out to celebrate with him, and she is just as sweet beautiful as she wants to be. Mellow Khris worked the 1's and 2's and the music was great as always. The crowd was slightly older but the energy was still fresh.

United Ladies of Step: Bling it On
Submitted by Imasteppa on Thu, 05/14/2009 - 12:33.
The state of Ohio is definitely making a name for itself in terms of throwing broad based Steppers sets. The United Ladies of Step from Toledo took center stage this weekend at the VFW Post. Club members Sheronda, Sharon, Keesha and Viva provided all of the ladies who entered the “Denim and Diamonds” party with “Bling Rings” to stay in line with the theme.

Club D'Elegance: Lady Margaret and DJ E. T.
Submitted by T. Pratt on Tue, 05/12/2009 - 20:31.
I generally don't write about going to clubs anymore. After all, I generally see the same people that we always see when we're out. On Sunday night however, we all such a good time that it would be a disservice to you all not to share it with you. The first person I bumped into was Lady Margaret, who told me that she had been promoting the Sunday night set since November. Who knew? She was all smiles as she talked about the steadily increasing crowd.

The One Year Anniversary Set: I Love Steppin
Submitted by Imasteppa on Wed, 04/29/2009 - 11:33.
If I could use one word to describe Detroit web based photographer, Jeff Clark’s set at Fire Water II Bar & Grill Saturday night it would be … historical. In all of the years I have been steppin, Detroit has never been able to pull off a weekly steppers set beginning at 5: oopm and lasting until 10:00pm on Saturdays at the crowd capacity that Jeff has done for the last 6 months or so.

Lisa's (MSBU) Birthday Party Review
Submitted by steppinlady2 on Thu, 04/09/2009 - 14:01.
It's cold and there a torrent rainfall; it’s enough to make you want to curl up into a lump on the couch. Even so, that was not the case on March 7, 2009. I had to get out into that damp and dreary weather on a trip to Racine, Wisconsin for Lisa's (MSBU) weekend birthday extravaganza. My good friend Gina and I were off on another road trip, set the GPS for the destination, and were happily singing down the highway, when she saw the sign that said Milwaukee on the right. I jump 3 lanes over and the GPS starts yelling i

Guess Whose Black … Out!?
Submitted by Imasteppa on Wed, 04/08/2009 - 14:21.
The Dancin Dons and Divas of Cleveland, Ohio left no stone unturned this weekend! The 3rd Annual Black Out Weekend Affair was a HUGE success. Michelle, Terry, Carli, Allen, Lolita and Keith made it a point to show their guests this weekend that they are a force to be reckoned with after Atlanta’s Black Heritage Ball extravaganza this past February.
