ChiStepper.com was on the Red Carpet for Essence Magazine's Black Women In Music Event in Hollywood yesterday. The event, featuring a performance by Janelle Monae brought out tons of stars like Prince, P. Diddy, Melanie Fiona, Big Boi, Kelly Price, and Anthony Hamilton. ChiStepper.com caught up with soul singer Kem and talked Steppin' for a bit. I told him that we were jammin' to "Share My Life" and Kem said he had no clue. He said, "What about Love Calls?" When I told him that Love Calls, Find Your Way, and Cherish This Moment among others were all Steppers hits, he seemed surprised. He said, "How do you Step to Cherish This Moment. Someone needs to teach me how to Step next time I come to Chicago." I told him that I wanted him to know so that when he comes to Chicago on March 26th, he knows what to play. By the way, his publicist clarified that the Chicago leg of his tour was not cancelled after I shared that the tickets had not yet been made available on ticketmaster. Kem said, "Send my love to the Steppers!"
