The One Year Anniversary Set: I Love Steppin
Submitted by Imasteppa on Wed, 04/29/2009 - 11:33.
If I could use one word to describe Detroit web based photographer, Jeff Clark’s set at Fire Water II Bar & Grill Saturday night it would be … historical. In all of the years I have been steppin, Detroit has never been able to pull off a weekly steppers set beginning at 5: oopm and lasting until 10:00pm on Saturdays at the crowd capacity that Jeff has done for the last 6 months or so.

A Young Tall Rick Featured on "Steppers Guess Who"
Submitted by T. Pratt on Tue, 04/28/2009 - 10:58.
StepNdiva wins this weeks, Steppers Guess Who Contest. It's none other than Stepper extraordinairre, Tall Rick Wetherspoon. He looked a like a little charmer back then didn't he ... offering to bring all the girls a piece of candy to school.
Steppers, I have some good one's coming up, so stay tuned. I have a couple that I'd be shocked if anyone guessed, then again, I'm shocked that you all guessed this one.
Get To Know: Twin Cities Steppers Association
Submitted by T. Pratt on Mon, 04/27/2009 - 18:31.
The Twin Cities Steppers Association of Minnesota is the next group to be featured on our "Get To Know" Series. A number of organizations are hosting major events throughout the nation, and a lot of times, Steppers are reluctant to support those that they are unfamiliar with. So this is ChiStepper's way of saying, "Steppers, I'd like to introduce you to Twin Cities Steppers Association."

Is Ty Skippy Entering The Teaching Game!?
Submitted by T. Pratt on Wed, 04/22/2009 - 19:55.
Freestyle Legend Ty Skippy sent word to ChiStepper.com that he is about to start a class. If so, I expect a number of Steppers to get in line to pick up Ty's moves, which represent Steppin' in it's original form. All one has to do is check out the Youtube video that ChiStepper posted of Ty and Celeste, which has garnered over 26,000 views and 34 comments to date.

On The Set - Episode 2.3
Submitted by MzNicole on Tue, 04/21/2009 - 14:47.
Sparkle has made it back home from J’s spot, and has begun her morning ritual of deciding how and who she is going to manipulate to pay her bills this month. She knew that she could at least get a hundred dollars from Mike, because she had given him some bomb head in the parking lot outside of his set the other night. She laughs to herself and wonders if he thought that it was free. She also thought of all the young cats on the set who where powerless against her feminine wiles and the demands that she made on their wallets.

SteppinginGI is the winner
We still have the celeb guess who contests coming, but this week we wanted to switch it up with a new contest that we'll be having from time to time as well, our "Stepper Guess Who Contests." ChiStepper is going to feature nationally recognized Steppers when they were children, and see if the people can figure them out. If you've already seen the picture, please don't participate. If you've already won before, you're ineligible for the "Guess Who" series.
Get To Know: The Gentlemen of Ballroom
Submitted by T. Pratt on Mon, 04/20/2009 - 17:14.
ChiStepper is making a concerted effort to start profiling more and more of the groups that help make up the National Steppers scene. We figured it would be best to kick of the "Get To Know" series with a group that has been making waves in the National Steppers community with their annual "Steppin' In Linen" Ball. The Gentlemen of Ballroom, a Cleveland, Ohio based organization, chops it up with ChiStepper for the very first time. The members featured in this interview include: Marvin Minifee, Jerry Rhodes, and Ambrose West

Old vs. New Skool: The Whispers vs. Monica
Submitted by T. Pratt on Mon, 04/20/2009 - 13:10.
Erykah Badu held her own last week, but she couldn't hold off Atlantic Starr's version of "Four Leaf Clover." She lost 6 to 3. This week I have another good one for you, as new skool soul banger Monica tries to take out the Legendary Whispers. It's both artists first time at bat, who will take it?

Don't sleep on Los Angeles, the Steppers on the West Coast are constantly making moves. From television commericials, to talks of coming movie deals, many always get that "any day now" feeling from L. A. In a similar vein, Steppers were granted the opportunity to perform at Half-Time for the Los Angeles Clippers NBA team.

Mike, and Jabari, talked dollars and cents about the upcoming contest. Jabari expressed some concerns about Mike’s ability to pull in enough ends to make a profit.
Sparkle agrees to give Candi some help with learning her basics, but not before partaking in a sensual and almost erotic dance with Mike, while Candi, Jabari and others looked on.
Old vs. New Skool: Atlantic Starr vs. Erykah Badu
Submitted by T. Pratt on Mon, 04/13/2009 - 14:19.
Last week the Old Skool took the belt back as Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" beat April Hill's New Skool version of the same song. This week, I wanted to make it a little tougher on you, with two sexy versions of "Four Leaf Clover." Can Erykah outshine the Starr's?
